We recently procured a sample of paintwork from the Moses pendant (his foot to be precise!) and this is currently with the Technical Art History team at Glasgow University.
Results should be known in January 2024. We can then begin the process of identifying which chemical products are best suited for the removal of the overpainting on the Ascension painting in the apse.
